With over 30 years of experience in semiconductor materials and device research, he was recognized in 2025 as one of the top 2% of scientists worldwide for his contributions to applied physics and optics. |
| Prof.Bo DongShenzhen Technology University, China Distinguished Professor, School of Integrated Circuits and Optoelectronic Chips, Shenzhen Technology University. He is a recipient of the Peacock Program (Category B) for overseas high-level talents in Shenzhen, and was selected into the Technology Talent Program of the Hundred Talents Initiative launched by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He has also been named in the World’s Top 2% Scientists list jointly released by Stanford University and Elsevier. Additionally, he serves as a peer review expert for National Science and Technology Awards and national key research projects. His research focuses on photonic integrated devices, SAW/BAW chips, and optoelectronic detection, where he has achieved a series of innovative outcomes. He has published more than 140 academic papers, filed over 30 patents, with more than 10 patents granted. His project achievements have earned him the ASEAN Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award and the Singapore Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award in 2013. He is a Senior Member of both Optica (formerly OSA) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). |
| Prof. MOHD SYUHAIMI BIN AB RAHMANUniversiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia Mohammad Syuhaimi Ab-Rahman began his career at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), in mid-2007 as a lecturer and appointed as a senior lecturer in early 2008. In January 2010, he was appointed as Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Systems. His specialization is in the field of electronic engineering specifically in optical communication system. He is also professional engineer registered under Board of Egineering Malaysia. He has also been selected as on of the Malaysia’s Top Research Scientists 2021. To date, he has produced 297 journal articles, 196 proceeding, 30 books, 12 chapter in book. 24 awards/medals for science and technology exhibitions, 6 granted research patents, lead more than 10 impact research with cumulative MYR 11 million, head more than 5 impact community. |
| Prof. Tingchao HeShenzhen University, China Currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering. He graduated from the Department of Physics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, in 2010 with a Ph.D. During his doctoral studies (August 2008 to August 2009), he was a visiting scholar at the Institute for Molecular Science, a national research institute in Japan. After obtaining his Ph.D., he conducted postdoctoral research at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, from July 2010 to February 2014. From April 2014 to December 2020, he served as an associate professor at the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Shenzhen University, and was promoted to full professor in January 2021. His main research focuses on ultrafast optics and chiral optical behavior of novel semiconductor materials. He has published over 180 papers in SCI-indexed academic journals and has led more than ten projects funded by national, provincial, and municipal levels. He has received honors including the Shenzhen Peacock Plan Category B and Nanshan District Leading Talent Category B awards. |
